This piece expresses what it feels like to always strive for perfection. Many times it feels as though all eyes are on the subject. Often it puts pressure on the individual and makes them feel as though they've lost their mind (represented by the headless figure)

The high priestess in reverse symbolizes a disconnect mentally or emotionally that needs to be tended to.

With this piece, I chose to paint an acrylic underpainting, which I regret. Many layers were needed to cover the burnt sienna and I tried out many colours to try to cancel out the warm tones. With enough layers and a lot of white paint, I was able to achieve the dated, washed out look.
