“The significance of names--and why I changed mine” — Jai Djwa at TEDxCapilano U Live

IDEA School of Design’s Jai Djwa spoke about the transformative power of changing his name at TEDxCapilano U Live on April 30, 2024. Check out this story and listen to his talk.

The experience of speaking at TEDx was both exhilarating and terrifying. Exhilarating because joining thousands of previous speakers in the phenomenon of Ted is an incredible honour. But for the same reason it’s terrifying. Not to mention the fact that many of my friends and family were in the audience. Somehow I made it through and it was a great experience. The Cap team were super supportive and it was amazing to hear the other speakers. It felt like being part of an amazing community.
