“Fear”—2018 Poster Exhibit by 2nd year students runs May 1 to May 13, 2018

You're invited to meet the artists (IDEA School of Design second year students) at the opening of this year's IDEA Interprets annual poster show.

IDEA Interprets explores a single theme through typography and illustration.

IDEA Interprets is an annual exhibition by Capilano University Bachelor of Design students which runs every spring at The Ferry Building Gallery located at 1414 Argyle Ave, Ambleside Landing, West Vancouver, British Columbia.

The poster show and sale helps to support the development of emerging local artists. The theme of the 2018 show, “Fear”, has been imaginatively interpreted by second year illustration and design students.

Each illustrative and typographic poster is a response to this year’s theme, which provoked multiple interpretations and treatments, from activism to visual journalism, to personal experience and storytelling.

We are pleased to feature a sneak peek of the posters from the exhibition. There will be 22 posters exhibited in the Ferry Building Gallery, May 1-13, 2018, but all the students' 11x17 posters will be available for purchase.

Join the second year students from Capilano University’s IDEA School of Design as they face a universal and multifaceted emotion: Fear.
