Congrats to our CAPIC Rodeo winners and runners-up in illustration and photography!

Many congratulations to the following CAPIC Rodeo winners and runners-up from the IDEA School of Design who continue to dominate the student awards in illustration! This year we won all but one award in photography, too, making 8 of the 10 CAPIC "RODEO 10" winners IDEA students.

CAPIC is the Canadian Association of Professional Image Creators, and RODEO is open to photography and illustration students across Canada. Visual arts students from across the country competed for national exposure and an array of great prizes. The winning entries are also published on the CAPIC website and on social media.

1st Place Illustration. "Portrait of my classmate Emily done in Adobe Photoshop. I tried to play with the colors and chose to use an intense red as the dominant element in the piece, hence the title."

"Never Grow Up" by Courtney Lamb

Runner up – Photography. “Never Grow Up" explores what everyone tries to avoid, becoming an adult. This is actually a compilation of 10 pictures due to my limited amount of building blocks. A lot of hours went into it but I got to play along the way.”
