I enjoyed drawing this illustration a lot because I really like the Lunar New Year aesthetic. Bunnies are very fun to draw, and they love to jump - that became my main idea for the overall composition. I also got inspired by Chinese floral patterns and decided to implement them in my illustration too.

This is a folk art-inspired year of the rabbit illustration surrounded by blooming flowers and fruit believed to bring in an abundance of good luck. Fill your home and gift the special people in your lives orchids for fertility, beauty, and abundance; anthuriums for good luck and prosperity; and mandarins/tangerines/kumquats (whichever you can find) for good fortune and happiness. Note, good things come in pairs. Happy lunar new year!

The BACHELOR OF DESIGN IN VISUAL COMMUNICATION is a four-year undergraduate degree with a variety of career outcomes in the creative field. Students can specialize in branding, Illustration or interactive design in upper years. Early Applications for September 2023 will open on November 8, 2022, and close on January 25, 2023. Late Applications will open on January 27, 2023, and close on April 10, 2023.
The INTERACTION DESIGN DIPLOMA is a two-year program with career outcomes in the field of digital product design and user experience. The focus is on creativity, design thinking, and problem-solving. Applications for September 2023 will open on November 8, 2022, and close on June 6, 2023.
