Here’s a digital illustration of Krampus by first-year student Freya Emery (IDEA Grad 2024). Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure in Central European / Eastern Alps folklore.
“Originally, for the holidays, I wanted to create a traditional art piece using gauche. Instead, I decided to stick to my roots and play around with Adobe Photoshop using my Wacom Tablet. I found this project fun as I had the opportunity to incorporate elements from other pieces of mine into this one. Overall I’m pleased with how it turned out as Krampus is one of my favorite holiday spirits. Happy Holidays and Winter Season!”
Entry to the Bachelor of Design program at Capilano University is competitive, and applicants must submit a portfolio and other documents through the online portal SlideRoom.
