Studio Gallery 3311 Presents the ninth annual IDEA student painting exhibition

On Saturday, September 7, 2019, visual artist, illustrator, and educator, Jeff Burgess hosted the ninth annual student exhibition of works produced over the summer by IDEA School of Design at Capilano University students Sophie Young (IDEA21), Alison Johnstone (IDEA21), Charis Wang (IDEA20) (shown above), and Aidan Zecchel (IDEA21).

The event was a great success with all selling numerous pieces and enjoying the afternoon with fellow students, friends, family and some faculty. There were close to 80 people that showed up over the course of the afternoon amid the fine weather, appetizer foods, sangria, and other refreshments were available.

With over 25 to 50 wonderful artworks on display from each student there was lots of choice for seasoned and first time art buyers. All proceeds from art work sales go directly to the students.

We would like to to thank our friends who have helped us over the years with hanging/curation of the shows, sales, donations at the bar, set up and clean up. Next year will be the tenth and last year we will host this incredible experience for the students and ourselves so onward to new opportunities for all.

Thanks again everyone for all your support.
