Tierney Cathella-May Milne's hand-lettering in Youngblood lyric video
Check out the latest video for Youngblood created by my Capilano University IDEA School of Design grad student Tierney Cathella-May Milne and Mark Illing. Each frame was painstakingly created with hand-cut paper using stop-motion animation.
Tierney's studies in Psychology (BA, UBC) and lllustration/Design (IDEA Program, CapU) inspire her to breakdown the complexities of our inner and outer landscapes and recombine them in colourful and unique ways.
The video used thousands of individually cut letters and analog glitching effects, and premiered on Vice's Noisey in late March 2017.
