Digital Illustration students create promotional videos

Digital Illustration students create promotional videos

For the final assignment in Digital Illustration II, the students  were asked to create a promotional video for Capilano University's IDEA program.

The students developed their own concepts, created storyboards and produced a completed video over the last five weeks of the course using a combination of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects.

The objective of this project was to create a promo video for Capilano University's Illustration and Design program (IDEA). We were given about 4 to 5 weeks to come up with a video or animation using CS5 Adobe Aftereffects or Adobe Premiere Pro. My inspiration for this project came from Education First's International "Live the language" videos. Typography is such an important part of IDEA, and what a perfect way to show other students what we're all about. The video is directed and shot by me, thanks also to my classmates for being awesome actors, Holly Prince and Stephan Tosheff as my main characters and Miles Chic for the soundtrack. - Kristine Nilan

What is the IDEA Program at Capilano University? A motion graphics assignment using After Effects.
